EPC Project on Frequency Regulation Technology Research and Application based on Flywheel Energy Storage for a Coal-fired Power Plant in Shanxi Province

The EPC Project on Frequency Regulation Technology Research and Application based on Flywheel Energy Storage for a coal-fired power plant in Shaanxi Province utilizes an 8MW/32kWh flywheel energy storage system. It will be connected to the 6kV busbars downstream of the high-voltage substation, with a planned land area of approximately 950㎡. With a highly integrated design, the total investment will be approximately 43 million yuan. The project is scheduled to be grid-connected and operational by August 2025, participating in primary frequency regulation ancillary services for thermal power plants.
